like straight up this is the best shit ever im so happy

I rarely reblog kickstarters that aren’t friends’ comics but AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH~<3

This is big news in so many ways. A megaman-type sequel built on audience support? The original six were built on fan suggestions, I’m curious to see how this one goes.

~~ GIANT ROBOTS ~~
by Francesco Francavilla

With Pacific Rim in theaters all over the world this weekend, I thought it was appropriate to share this (not comprehensive) poster showcasing some of the most famous or popular giant robots over the decades.

After SDCC I might do a full Robot Week here on this blog, if you guys dig the idea.

Cheers,
FF

This hit me like a ton of bricks. I’m still feeling a little nauseous after this realization.

I also put it on DA

This is a wonderful presentation. I just had to add these:

Don’t ever let anyone tell you that gender egalitarianism isn’t possible among humans, or that our species’ “natural” state is one of gender oppression.

VanCAF was also host to some good panels, which one of our members had the good sense to record for posterity.

The above pictures are from Intro to Comic Production by Steve Rolston, who talked about all the steps involved in making a comic from start-to-finish illustrated with excerpts from his work, (as well as a couple from Jason and David Lapham).

And secondly, we have pictures from The Last Political Cartoonists in which Kevin Wilson spoke to Matt Bors and JJ McCullough about their work and what it’s like to be young editorial cartoonists.

You can find audio recordings of the panels here.

That is me in the center, unable to turn my head to look at the person to my right. Someday….someday…

Made this for an art auction put on by the fine folks at Vancaf, my favorite con this year. Jake’s a sore loser/winner/everything.
